Some Hair Loss Medications Such As Propecia May Cause The Growth Of Man Boobs

 

If you are taking medications for hair loss such as Propecia you may be in danger of developing man boobs!

Propecia (finasteride) blocks the conversion of testosterone to DHT by way of 5AR2. Great for hair, but trouble for gynecomastia problems. The lack of DHT raises testosterone levels, which in turn raises estrogen levels. This out of ballance effect of low DHT and high estrogen can lead to increased body fat and encourages moobs to grow.

The first sign of trouble is often a little extra chest fat. Things could stay at this level, or it could progress futher. Use a very small amount so that systemic absorbtion of DHT is minimal and your hair is not effected. Also you should cycle the use of the Andractim.

So be very careful when using these types of hairloss drugs so you don’t get more than you bargained for! Hair is important for self-esteem, but developing male breasts can be crushing to your ego.
